My fairy tale retellings aren’t filled with romance
and your typical happily-ever-afters. While themes of love, resilience,
triumph, hope, justice, redemption, and strength are found throughout my books,
I also like to include a sprinkle of another genre (much like any good meal is accompanied with a delicious side dish).
The Fairy Taled series follows Rumpelstiltskin in his
journey of grief. Along the way, he takes your favorite fairy tale characters back in time to various historical events. It’s a high-tension mixture
of reimagined fairy tale and historical fantasy.
Piper—my rat-catching
cat lady version of The Pied Piper—is closer to a true retelling. It has
dark themes and is set in a creepy town with a mysterious past. Some might say
it has a side of horror, but it’s not gory or graphic.
All of my characters are flawed but layered, and most are
